Sorry I got no notification about your replies.
I have tried to change my profile to notify me by email using the instructions from the help link,:
The ProBoards forum software allows you to receive notifications on the forum with the built-in notification system, as well as receive notifications via email if you choose to do so. To setup your forum notifications, as well as to view which types of notifications are available, visit the forum that you have a forum account on and login to your account. Once you're logged in, click the Profile button found in the top menu bar of the forum, and then click the Edit Profile button on your profile page. You'll then be taken to the Edit Profile & Settings page; once here, click on the Notifications tab.
Unfortunately there is no notifications tab so I cannot set this up. I imagine that this will cause other people to not interact with this forum as readily as they might.
I cannot find the post you refer too from last October - do you have a link to it please?
The reason why you cannot add this to your profile is because we are using an early version of Proboard (notifications have now been disabled) and the new notification functionality is associated with version 5, which we will convert over to at the end of December. Once I have received betazone notification, I can back up our forum and run v5 in parallel (administrator only) in order to familiarise with v5 before going live with it.
I took the decision to defer conversion because I wanted to avoid (potential) disruption to the forum during the summer whilst we were responding to the outline planning application and pending the outcome of the Development Control Committee (date now announced as Sept 17th).
