What did Bowers Gifford used to look like?

I am very interested in finding out what Bowers Gifford used to look like before we all moved here adding extensions and concreting over our front gardens! It still is lovely here but I am keen to see it in its early days.

It would be good if any local residents could post images. It might also help any case we fight to keep our village status if we hi-light the rich history of Bowers Gifford.

Basildon Local History Group has a lot of photos of the old Bowers Gifford and North Benfleet.  Recently they had a display of BG&NB photos at the green centre but the photos have now been replaced with others

I'll send their contact details and ask if they will put a display up again for us.
