Basildon Council are counting the paper petition (4750) and the on-line petition (603) separately - so we might as well sign both. ;D We will still try to get 5000 signatures on the paper petition which carries more weight. However, it is not just a case of collecting signatures it has now become an awareness campaign as so few people in Pitsea are aware of what is happening on their doors step. When we met the developer he said that he would have liked to have had an exit into Tyefields as well as Pound Lane but could not do so because of the green belt/space issue. However, if Basildon Council turns down this proposed planning application and the developer successfully appeals to the Secretry of State's Planning Inspectorate then what's the betting that the Tyefields exit gets the go ahead too?
