Glebelands is the slim bit of green land left between South Benfleet and the A130. Opposite Bowers Gifford and North Benfleet.
Fox, Land & Property, a developer from Cheshire, applied to build 165 dwellings. The application was turned down by Castle Point Council.
The Council's decision was overruled by the Planning Inspectorate 
. Eric Pickles, the Secretary of State, overruled the Planning Inspectorate's decision. ;D
We were all very happy as this is the only bit of wild life corridor left on the South Benfleet Side of the A130. However, now Fox, Land and Property is taking the Secretary of State to the High Court with regard to his decision.
The same developer has taken the Secretary of State before, regarding a development in Cheshire and won
Good Luck to Eric Pickles. Let's hope that he fights this greedy northern developer off.
