A decision will not now be made on the Nottingham Council/Meridian application to build on Little Chalvedon Hall Farm until at least September. Basildon Council has raised several queries and have received some additional information from Meridian's team. This will obviously need to be examined in some detail. As you are aware the Residents Association made detailed responses to Meridian's planning reports. These were also forwarded to Meridian and we would expect to see their comments before the Development Control and Traffic Management Committee meet to discuss the application. Although we are all on edge, awaiting the decision, we would prefer Basildon Council to check all information received in detail even if it means delaying the envisaged decision date. Although a response had not been received by the Council from Highways when we reviewed the responses to the consultation last week we have now been informed that this has been received. However, the Residents Association is still awaiting a response to its letter to Highways. The letter was sent over a month ago and has not been acknowledged.
