Dear All
The visit by the Pearly King and Queen to U3A on 23rd April has been cancelled due to the king's ill health.
Rose Griffin- Twidell will now be giving a talk on the "Records Banned by the BBC" between the mid 1930s and mid 1950s - after an explanation of the BBC's policies, Rose will play you an extract from some of the banned records. See if you remember the name of the record and who sung/played it and then guess why it was banned by the BBC - some of the reasons are quite obscure
Venue: Benbow Club, Bowers Gifford, Pound Lane, SS13 2HN Guests welcome at a charge of £2.00 including tea and biscuits.
